PRIMARY 5 & 6
2025 Prelim Series
16 Weeks. 16 Papers.
Stop Guessing.
By the time the Preliminary exams arrive, most students know the content.
What they struggle with is applying it when the questions become less obvious.
They rely on what sounds right—and fall into familiar traps.
This 16-week series is designed to fix that.
Starting in June and running up to the PSLE, students work through one carefully curated Prelim Paper 2 each week. We don’t just review answers. We show them how to spot patterns, use context, and approach the paper with a clear system.
Runs as a full 16-week progression from June to the PSLE.
16 WEEKS · 16 CURATED PAPERS · WEEKLY DISCIPLINE
Why We Do It This Way
Making Practice Consistent
Getting a child to complete a full paper at home is difficult.
This series builds a weekly rhythm.
Each session gives students a clear reason to complete their paper, helping them develop the stamina needed for the actual exam.
Moving Beyond
"Sounds Right"
In our 90-minute live sessions, we break down the most challenging questions from a curated selection of school papers.
We don’t just find answers.
We teach the logic behind them: how to recognise grammar patterns, identify collocations, and use context to arrive at precise responses.
Learning to
Spot Mistakes
Students are guided to mark and annotate their own scripts during the session.
By identifying their own “mark leaks”, they begin to see where marks are consistently lost and how to avoid those patterns.
This is where the learning becomes lasting. They stop being passive listeners and start thinking like examiners.

The 3-Phase Roadmap
Confidence is built through progression.
We structure the series into three phases so students do not just complete papers.
They learn how to handle them with control.
PHASE 1
Spotting the Patterns
Timeline: Weeks 1 - 6
Students begin by learning how questions are designed.
We focus on common traps across Grammar, Vocabulary, and Comprehension.
The goal is simple.
Move away from what sounds right and start applying clear, rule-based thinking.
PHASE 2
Building Consistency
Timeline: Weeks 7 - 12
As difficulty increases, students learn to apply their strategies under pressure.
We introduce more linguistically dense papers.
Students work on maintaining accuracy in Comprehension, Cloze sections, and overall paper handling.
The focus here is consistency.
PHASE 3
Final Precision
Timeline: Weeks 13 - 16
The final stretch is about control.
Students refine how they manage time, handle unfamiliar question types, and phrase their answers with clarity. Special attention is given to Comprehension Open-Ended, where precision matters most.
How the Sessions Work
This is a fast-paced review session designed for efficiency and exposure.
1. Before the Class:
Students complete their assigned paper at home independently.
We recommend setting a timer of 1 hour 50 minutes to simulate exam conditions—this is where the habit of "exam stamina" is built.
2. During Class:
The teacher deconstructs key questions live.
Students annotate and correct their scripts in real time.
There is no cold-calling.
Students can ask questions through the chat, and the teacher will address common patterns and key misconceptions during the session.
3. After the Class:
The learning doesn’t end when the Zoom call closes. Every student receives a login to our Student Archive, where they can:
-
Replay any session: Perfect for revisiting tricky explanations or catching up if they missed the live run.
-
Download Annotated Keys: Access the teacher’s own marked-up papers to compare against their own work.
-
Study at their own pace: Everything is organised and accessible 24/7 until the day of the PSLE.
Is This Right For Your Child?
For Prologue Students
Regular classes focus on mastering rules and learning new content.
This series is the bridge to application.
It provides the high-volume practice needed to ensure those techniques become instinctive under the pressure of a full-length paper.
For High-achieving
P5 Students
P5 students who are already comfortable with the standard syllabus and are looking for a rigorous challenge.
For External Students
This series is a Paper 2 deep-dive.
It is designed to complement (not replace) weekly tuition.
This add-on helps students sharpen their instincts and apply what they already know with more confidence.

Before You Decide
Most students do not lose marks because they do not understand the topic.
They lose marks because they:
-
rely on what sounds right
-
miss key contextual clues
-
apply rules inconsistently under pressure
This is exactly what we train for.
We help them bridge the gap between getting it “almost right” and getting it consistently correct.
Note:
This is a high-intensity review series. It is not a general English class, but a focused training ground for Paper 2 strategy.
